Questions about digital technology

Is it possible to digitise BRAWA locomotives at a later date?

All H0 locomotives, except the BRAWA basic variants, have standardised interfaces. They can therefore be upgraded easily using a commercially available decoder.

Which digital systems are supported by the BRAWA decoder?

We support DCC, Motorola, and Selectrix.
DCC, Motorola, Selectrix are registered trademarks.

Which decoders does BRAWA use in the locomotives?

We use decoders from Doehler & Haass that are respectively tuned to our models.

What is the purpose of the card which is enclosed with digital models?

The locomotive card, which is supplied with your digital model, is used to register the vehicle with the Märklin Central Station 2 and 3 (CS2 and CS3). At the moment it is only possible to read in the cards with these two central stations. All functions and information for the corresponding vehicle are already stored on this card. Therefore, it is no longer necessary to create the locomotive manually.

Attention: If you don’t use one of those two centrals, you have to import the vehicles and their functions manually. By default, the registration address of your vehicles is 03.

Can I send in my locomotive for repair?

Should you have a complaint within the context of the warranty obligations, this must be complained to the seller of the product (Specialist dealer). In this case, please send the model including a copy of your invoice to the seller. If the purchase was made at the BRAWA factory outlet, please enclose a copy of the invoice or proof of purchase.

A repair outside of the warranty obligation can be sent directly to BRAWA, together with a completed repair note.

All information and the repair note can be found under Service/Customer Service.
